Simplified Meridian Operating Instructions

Engine Start (9 actions required):
Power=Idle
Condition=Cutoff/Feather
{Connect External Power and Verify 28V}
1. Battery=On and Verify 24V if no External Power
Push Engine Fire Detection Test and Verify Engine Fire Annunciator
2. Fuel Pump=Manual and Verify Left & Right
3. Ignition=Manual and Verify
Start Mode=Auto and Verify Annunciator Off
4. Start=Push
Verify Oil Pressure Rising
Ng=Stabilized at or above 13%
5. Condition=Run
ITT=Below 1000C/Less than 5 sec.
[If no ignition then Condition=Cutoff/Feather & Start Mode=Man/Stop]
At Ng=56% Verify Starter Disengaged [If not then Start Mode=Man/Stop]
Verify Ng Stabilized above 60%
Verify Np above 1200 RPM
6. Generator=On and Verify Positive Current Flow and 28V
7. Alternator=On and Verify Small Positive Current Flow
8. Fuel Pump=Auto
9. Ignition=Off
Verify Oil Pressure Above 60 PSI
